Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Middl collects, how it is used, and your rights around that data. Middl is operated by a solo individual based in British Columbia, Canada. If you have questions, email [email protected].

What information we collect

When you create a freelancer account we collect your name and email address. As you use the product we store the projects you create, the conversation history generated while using the AI features, files you upload, and general usage data such as which features you use and when. Client collaborators access projects through a share token and do not create accounts, so we collect no personal information from them beyond what is contained in the project itself.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate the Middl service, to send you transactional notifications (such as project activity), and to enforce plan limits. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with any party other than the service providers listed below.

Third-party services

Middl relies on a small number of third-party services to function:

• Anthropic - Your conversation messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate AI responses; Anthropic processes this data under their own privacy policy.
• Lemon Squeezy - All payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy; Middl never receives or stores your payment card details.
• Cloudflare R2 - Files you upload to projects are stored in Cloudflare's R2 object storage.
• Mailgun - Transactional emails (notifications, account messages) are delivered through Mailgun.

Data retention

Conversation history is automatically deleted after six months. If you delete your account, all associated account data and project data is permanently removed. Residual copies in backups are purged within 30 days.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or ask us to delete your account and data by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you are located in the European Union, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Cookies

Middl uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics that set cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
